Journal Entry: Finding a Recipe Online
Today I was feeling adventurous and decided to try a new dish for dinner. I searched online for some recipes and found one that looked delicious and easy to make. It was called **chicken and mushroom pie** and it had a lot of positive reviews.
I followed the instructions carefully and gathered all the ingredients. I had to chop some onions, garlic, mushrooms and chicken, and cook them in a skillet with some butter, flour, chicken stock, cream and herbs. Then I transferred the mixture to a pie dish and covered it with some puff pastry. I brushed some egg on top and baked it in the oven for about 25 minutes.
The result was amazing! The pie was golden and flaky on the outside, and creamy and savory on the inside. The chicken was tender and the mushrooms added a nice texture and flavor. It was very filling and satisfying, and I enjoyed every bite. I felt proud of myself for trying something new and succeeding.
I think I will make this dish again in the future, maybe with some variations. I wonder what other recipes I can find online that are easy and tasty. Maybe I will search for some desserts next time. I love exploring new cuisines and learning new skills in the kitchen.

We’re Going to Mars!
Human exploration of Mars is no longer the stuff of science fiction. The United States could very likely send its first delegation to the red planet in 2033. If SpaceX, a private company dedicated to space travel and exploration, has any say in it, humans will reach Mars as early as 2022. As amazing as this seems, studying Mars is expensive, difficult, and dangerous. The most important three questions are as follows: Why should we do it? How are we going to get there? How much will it cost?
Studying the evolution of other planets furthers our knowledge of our universe as well as our planet.
Today, Mars is too cold and the atmosphere is too thin for life to exist on the surface. However, evidence suggests that life may have existed in bacterial form billions of years ago. The planet must have been warm enough at one point to support life. Discovering what caused the change could help scientists better understand Earth’s climate. Also, studying sediments, rocks, and soils, as well as volcanoes and meteoroid impact sites, can help scientists study details of Earth’s evolution.
Exploring Mars could lead to colonization.
Settling other planets is the most attractive aspect of space exploration. It brings to mind entire galaxies filled with human outposts, discovering amazing landscapes and species, and possibly finding intelligent life similar to our own. Studying Mars is one of the first steps along the way. The benefits go well beyond the “wow” factor. Colonies would be able to reap raw materials—including electricity—on their planets and send them back to Earth. That’s right! Colonists could harvest the sun’s energy and send it to Earth in the form of electricity. Being able to farm renewable power will release humans from being too reliant on gas, coal, and nuclear energy.
Colonizing Mars goes beyond the practical rewards. It would be an important moment in the history of humanity, ranking up there with the discovery of “The New World” and the moon landing. It would require a lot of resources, money, and collaboration. Multiple countries could learn how to better our species. Some of the products we use every day were invented by NASA, including baby formula, water filtration, and cell phone cameras. The amount of technological innovation required for such an effort could benefit the world as well.
How will we do it?
NASA currently has plans to send a human mission to Mars by 2033. There are five phases, or steps.
Phase 0: has been going on since the main building of the International Space Station began in 1998. The experiments and collaboration with private space companies (such as SpaceX) are a major component of this phase.
Phase 1: requires that we build bigger and better spacecraft. This will transport the crew with all of the supplies it needs to survive.
Phase 2: Build a Deep Space Transport (DST) system. The DST system calls for creating vehicles that astronauts can live in during the two-year trip to Mars, as well as supply lines. This is a practice step of sorts. The system will be tested using missions to the moon.
Phase 3: Expand the DST system to Mars
Phase 4: Take a manned trip to the red planet.
If this sounds expensive, that’s because it is. Mars One, a private space exploration company whose mission is to establish a permanent human colony on Mars, estimates that it will cost $6 billion. SpaceX estimates that it will cost $10 billion per person. NASA’s costs are much higher. It thinks that such a mission would ultimately cost $1 trillion. Currently, NASA receives 0.5% of the national budget, or $22.629 billion, for all of its operations.
But don’t worry! Although the cost seems extremely high, Elon Musk, who owns SpaceX, thinks that the cost of moving to the moon will eventually be much less. Once everything is in place, the colonies are established, and deep space travel is normalized, someone could move to Mars for as little as $100,000.
“It gets to the point where almost anyone, if they saved up and this was their goal, could buy a ticket and move to Mars — and given that Mars would have a labor shortage for a long time, jobs would not be in short supply,” he said.

Four teenage girls from Africa have figured out how to use urine as fuel for an electric generator. Fifteen-year-old Bello Eniola and 14 year old Duro-Aina Adebola, Akindele Abiola, and Faleke Oluwatoyin created a generator that can produce six hours of electricity from one liter of urine, and demonstrated their invention at Maker Faire Africa in Lagos, Nigeria. Here is how the machine works:
Urine is put into a cell, which extracts hydrogen.
The hydrogen goes into a water filter to be cleaned further. The purified hydrogen turns to gas, which is then pushed into the gas cylinder.
The gas cylinder pushes the hydrogen gas into a cylinder of liquid borax. The liquid borax removes the moisture from the hydrogen gas.
This purified hydrogen gas is then pushed into the generator to be used as fuel.

anything will do , please help I cant think of anything
Answer:
If more writers began publishing books online, many libraries, book stores and other businesses that depend on paper copied books to keep afloat, will had a dramatic drop in clients and sales. Eventually, these businesses and companies will go out of business, having been outdone by the more popular online books. On the other hand, many websites will be making money from those who read from their sites. The authors will also have most likely made deals with these sites, earning money for every new read their story gains.

Q: Things that can caused people to be shootings
*This is for my English work * I needed to be 2-3 paragraph in your own words
Answer:
hope you help
Explanation:
Four assumptions frequently arise in the aftermath of mass shootings in the United States: (1) that mental illness causes gun violence, (2) that psychiatric diagnosis can predict gun crime, (3) that shootings represent the deranged acts of mentally ill loners, and (4) that gun control “won’t prevent” another Newtown (Connecticut school mass shooting). Each of these statements is certainly true in particular instances. Yet, as we show, notions of mental illness that emerge in relation to mass shootings frequently reflect larger cultural stereotypes and anxieties about matters such as race/ethnicity, social class, and politics. These issues become obscured when mass shootings come to stand in for all gun crime, and when “mentally ill” ceases to be a medical designation and becomes a sign of violent threat.

4. How does the threat to one biome affect another biome? Provide specific examples.
5. Conduct research into one endangered biome. Prepare a micro-theme on your biome, including its threats and methods of conservation or restoration of your biome.
Answer:
1. The threats to each biome are as follows:
Tropical rainforest: Deforestation, climate change, hunting and poaching, invasive species, and human development.
Temperate deciduous forest: Deforestation, climate change, pollution, hunting and poaching, and human development.
Grasslands: Overgrazing, agriculture, climate change, and human development.
Desert: Climate change, overuse of groundwater, mining, and human development.
Tundra: Climate change, oil and gas exploration, and human development.
Marine: Overfishing, pollution, climate change, and habitat destruction.
2. The methods of conserving each biome are as follows:
Tropical rainforest: Protecting remaining forests, reforestation, sustainable farming practices, and eco-tourism.
Temperate deciduous forest: Reforestation, conservation easements, sustainable forestry, and habitat restoration.
Grasslands: Conservation easements, rotational grazing, and restoration of degraded grasslands.
Desert: Water conservation, sustainable development, and habitat restoration.
Tundra: Habitat restoration, oil and gas drilling regulations, and reducing carbon emissions.
Marine: Marine protected areas, sustainable fishing practices, and reducing pollution.
3. The reasons to conserve each biome are as follows:
Tropical rainforest: They contain a vast diversity of plant and animal species, are important sources of oxygen and carbon storage, and provide important resources for local communities.
Temperate deciduous forest: They are home to many plant and animal species, help regulate the climate, and provide important resources for local communities.
Grasslands: They support a variety of plant and animal species, help regulate the climate, and provide important resources for local communities.
Desert: They are home to unique plant and animal species, help regulate the climate, and provide important resources for local communities.
Tundra: They are home to unique plant and animal species, help regulate the climate, and provide important resources for local communities.
Marine: They support a vast diversity of marine life, are important sources of food and recreation, and help regulate the global climate.
4. The threat to one biome can affect another biome in several ways. For example, deforestation of the tropical rainforest can contribute to climate change, which can in turn affect the tundra biome. Climate change can also affect the marine biome by warming oceans and causing acidification, which can harm marine life.
5. Micro-theme on the endangered biome - Coral Reefs:
Coral reefs are one of the most threatened biomes on the planet due to a variety of factors. Climate change, overfishing, pollution, and coastal development are some of the major threats to these ecosystems. As temperatures rise, coral reefs are experiencing more frequent and severe coral bleaching events, which can kill off entire reefs. Overfishing can disrupt the delicate balance of these ecosystems by removing important predator and prey species. Pollution from coastal development and agriculture can lead to nutrient runoff and harmful algal blooms, which can smother and kill coral. To conserve coral reefs, we need to take a multi-faceted approach. This includes reducing greenhouse gas emissions to mitigate the effects of climate change, implementing sustainable fishing practices, reducing pollution, and protecting coral reefs through marine protected areas. Coral reef restoration projects, such as the use of artificial reefs, can also help to rebuild damaged reefs. Conserving coral reefs is important not only because they are home to a vast diversity of marine life but also because they provide important resources for local communities, such as food and tourism.

There have been many attempts to save the whooping crane, an endangered species of crane. One of these includes "Operation Migration. The operation was designed to save the whooping crane. They helped the birds migrate to Florida by disguising a plane to look like one of the birds. They flew along with the flock, guiding them to where they were supposed to go. When they arrived they were put into a "release pen." The release pen just so happened to also be near the Gibbs' house. Being near humans and getting comfortable with them isn't good for the cranes, so representatives from Operation Migration told Mrs. Gibbs about the situation, asking her to remove the feeders from her backyard. She refused to move the feeders because her husband was suffering from Alzheimer's, and loved seeing the whooping cranes because it brought him joy. The story didn't get to the scientist's, but they had to back down in the end.
